NACA® Live - Marketing Competition

NACA® Live 2020 Marketing Competition Categories and Submission Guidelines

Do you have innovative, original marketing ideas you use on your campus? We are looking for institutions who would like to compete in the NACA Live Marketing Competition! The Competition has 7 categories where institutions are divided into 3 categories, based on institution size. To compete in the competition, please fill out the interest form (link below), so we can prepare for your entries. Submissions will be turned in during registration on Saturday, February 22nd from noon-5:00 p.m. Don’t worry if you forget to fill it out the interest form prior to arriving in Denver, you can still compete as long you bring your printed entries along with you! Please note that materials submitted must be original works of art - items with trademarked or copyrighted materials will not be accepted.

NACA Live Marketing Competition

Judging According to Campus Size
Within each category, submissions will be divided into 3 divisions by size:    

  • Division I (Small Schools – less than 5,000)
  • Division II (Medium Schools – between 5,001 and 10,000)
  • Division III (Large Schools – above 10,001)

Outstanding Flyer
Submissions must be a flyer printed on paper 8.5X11 or smaller.  All submissions must be designed by a staff member or student of the institution.

Outstanding Poster
Submissions must be a poster printed on paper larger than 8.5X11.  All submissions must be designed by a staff member or student of the institution.

Outstanding Apparel
Submissions may include any form of apparel, such as t-shirts, polos, jackets, hats, and so on.  Apparel can be for organization members, giveaways, or any organizational event.  All submissions must be designed by a staff member or student of the institution.

Outstanding Non-Poster Publicity
Submissions may consist of any marketing tactics that are not flyers or posters.  Entries include but are not limited to promotional items, buttons, stickers, banners, and so on.  All submissions must be designed by a staff member or student of the institution.

Outstanding Digital Media
Submissions must at least ten seconds long and no more than seven minutes long.  Entries may be created to do the following but are not limited to promoting events, reviewing an event, recruiting for an organization, etc.  All submissions must be designed by a staff member or student of the institution.

Outstanding Social Media Campaigns                                                             
Submissions may include multiple components for an event or an organization, such as but not limited to social media graphics, promotional items, printed flyers and posters, and so on.  All items must be printed and displayed together on a poster board or display board.  All submissions must be designed by a staff member or student of the institution.

Outstanding Multi-Page Publications 
Submissions may include brochures, booklets, annual reports, guidebooks, and so on.  All submissions must be designed by a staff member or student of the institution.
