Keeping the Momentum Going: NACA’s Strategic Plan in Action
On May 1, I have the honor and true pleasure of stepping into the role of Chair of the Board of Directors for NACA. I step into this role with deep gratitude for the leaders who came before me and excitement for where we are headed together.
It’s also a time of great excitement as we get to work on operationalizing the new Strategic Plan. Our 2026-29 Strategic Plan is not a reset. It is a continuation of the incredible work already happening across NACA and on your campuses. It builds on our shared commitment to NACA’s mission: to empower members to amplify the campus experience through inclusive learning, meaningful connections, and engaging entertainment that transforms college communities. Every day, you live that mission. You create spaces where students feel seen, heard, challenged, and celebrated. You turn programs into experiences and events into memories. This Strategic Plan is here to support and elevate that work.
As we move forward, I invite you to:
- Live the mission on your campus. Let NACA’s mission be a practical guide. How are you creating inclusive learning in your programs? Where are you building meaningful connections? How are you using engaging entertainment to transform the campus experience?
- Bring the vision to life in your daily work. NACA’s vision is to create college communities where everyone belongs. That shows up in who you invite into your spaces, whose voices are centered, how accessible your events are, and how welcome each student feels.
- Experiment, innovate, and share. Try new ideas, test new formats, and take thoughtful risks. When you share your wins, and the lessons from things that did not go as planned, you help the entire NACA community grow.
Our Strategic Plan gives us direction. Your energy, creativity, and care for students will bring it to life.
Thank you for the late nights, early mornings, and countless conversations that make campus activities such a powerful force for belonging and growth. I am excited to serve alongside you as we carry this work forward, building on a strong foundation and keeping our momentum going.
