Participants will have greater awareness of the types and levels of trauma that is embodied in the human experience. By recognizing the trauma individual’s carry with them, participants will be able to acknowledge the impact on oneself of being exposed to another’s trauma (i.e., second hand trauma). Participants will be able to learn how to create a plan of action for their own personal care, in relation to trauma exposure. When a student demonstrates care for themselves they are better equipped to provide support for their peers.

This session will look at real world examples of the Instagram and TikTok accounts of program boards from all over the US (and focused on those in the actual ed session room) and talk about what boards are doing well along with things that can be improved.
