Showcase Selection Volunteer Application

Are you interested in building your résumé as a talent scout? Members of NACA’s showcase selection committees will review applications and select a diverse line-up of artists to perform at NACA’s live events. NACA invites all current school members (professional staff members, graduate students, and undergraduate students) to apply to this committee.


This application should take about 10 minutes to complete. Once you start the application you will need to complete it. You will not be able to save it and come back later.

Please read the below information carefully before you complete the application:

 

NACA® Showcase Selection Committee Time Commitment
  • The committee will meet via Zoom from Friday, July 26th to Thursday, August 1st.
  • Committee members must be able to make all scheduled calls throughout the week.
    • Tentative Schedule:
      • Orientation: Friday, July 26 at 1pm ET/12pm CT/11am MT/10am PT
        • Time Commitment: 1 hour
      • Round 1 (reviewing all submitted videos): Friday, July 26 following orientation, to be completed by Wednesday, July 31 at 12pm ET/11am CT/10am MT/9am PT
        • Time Commitment: 3-5 hours pending application numbers
      • Round 2: Wednesday, July 31 at 1pm ET/12pm CT/11am MT/10am PT.
        • Time Commitment: 2-3 hours
      • Round 3: Stars after Round 2 ends on Wednesday, due back by Thursday, August 1 at 1pm ET/12pm CT/11am MT/10am PT
        • Time Commitment: 1 hour
  • The overall time committment for members of the NACA Showcase Selection committee is approximately 10 hours over 7 days, by completing the following application you are agreeing to this time committment.
Selection Criteria
  • Previous attendance at a NACA conference is preferred but not required.
  • Training about effective decision making and NACA policies will be conducted at the beginning of the process.
  • Applicants must not be a current or former employee or intern of an NACA associate member firm or agency, nor may they plan to be employed by or serve as an intern with an associate member firm or agency within the next year.
  • The membership of the committee must remain anonymous through the selection process.
  • The committee membership will be sensitive to the representation of the Association (i.e. regions, school location, size and type of institution, gender, ethnic background, etc.).
