Andrew Meyer is an entertainment industry executive, film producer, author, and educator. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held positions such as President of A&M Films, founded by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss, and of Robert Redford’s Wildwood Productions and Norman Lear’s Act III Productions.
He has produced many notable films, including Fried Green Tomatoes, which received two Academy Award nominations, and The Breakfast Club, which Entertainment Weekly recognized as “The Best High School Movie of All Time.” He also produced the Grammy-winning documentary Bring on the Night, featuring Sting. Other significant works include Birdy, which won the Grand Prix Special Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, and the beloved cult classic Better Off Dead.
Mr. Meyer is a Professor Emeritus at the Savannah College of Art and Design and serves as the Artist in Residence at the Idyllwild Arts Foundation.
Currently, he is on a speaking tour at companies and universities, presenting his new lecture titled, Reinvention: The Only Constant is Change.
