Greetings future, past and present NACA® Central members!
You may be attending the NACA® Central Regional Conference for the first time this year, or you may be a Central veteran excited to reunite with your #NACABesties. Either way, as the Chair of this year’s program, I am confident that this year is going to be one you won’t want to miss!
Our Regional Conference Planning Committee (RCPC) challenges you to “Level Up” at this conference by taking advantage of our educational sessions, booking a new or favorite act for your campus, and connecting with old and new associates from around the world. Just by attending, you will gain access to special, discounted booking prices for campus entertainment that will only be available to attendees at this NACA event!
Some of the ways we have already leveled up the conference experience include:
Venue Transformation We toured the renamed and newly renovated Esports Stadium Arlington & Expo Center in January, and parts of the convention center are unrecognizable (in a really cool way!). We embraced the new Esports element by incorporating video games into our theme, and you will have the opportunity to literally “Level Up” on one of their gaming consoles while you are visiting Arlington, TX – The American Dream City.
Celebrating Central This year we are dedicated to recognizing members of our Central family who have leveled up into positions at universities outside of our region, outside of campus activities or simply onto different endeavors. With the upcoming 60th anniversary of NACA in 2020 and the debut of NACA® Live, the reimagined national convention experience in February, we want to celebrate the many years of service that members of our Central family have dedicated to this organization – whether that be through volunteering on the RCPC, staffing summer institutes or serving on one of the national committees. If there is somebody that you want to make sure is recognized please reach out to our Volunteer Development Coordinator, Kelsey Jackson, at email@example.com.
I encourage you to follow us on social media at @thenacacen, and follow along for updates on the conference experience this year. I’ll see you in Texas!
