NACA® Northern Plains - Important Dates

Overview

Calling all parents, aspiring parents, significant others and supervisors: Join and ask questions as webinar leaders Jerrica, Kyonna and Thanh share experiences with parenting while working in student activities. They will share helpful tips, statistics and best practices as a spinoff from the 2019 Convention presentation “Managing Mommyhood in Student Activities.” A goal is to create a network of NACA parents so there is space for peers to ask for advice and share struggles and triumphs throughout the year.

Please consider submitting your questions when you register, so that the hosts can answer them live.

Presenter(s)

Jerrica Stovall, a Virginia Beach native, holds a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master's degree in Higher Education Administration from Old Dominion University. She is currently the Associate Director for Student Involvement at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. She is also the current NACA Leadership Fellows Coordinator. Between being a professional, a wife, and a mommy to her active 1 year old and 7 year old, she's a busy woman. However, she always makes time to include the things she loves which includes church, reading, and thrifting.

Kyonna Henry is from Woodbridge, Virginia. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Education and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration both from Old Dominion University in Virginia. In her professional life Kyonna is the Assistant Director of Student Activities and Director of Campus Programs and Special Events at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, NC. Kyonna has been in the higher education field for 7 years but her biggest life accomplishment is that she is mommy to a witty 1 year old, who teaches HER new things everyday. Her favorite quote to live by is from Margaret Mead “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
