Volunteer with NACA - Regional Position Detail


Organizes networking programs, events and resources for professional staff and graduate advisors during the NACA® South Regional Conference.

Specific Responsibilities

Reports the same day as the full RCPC.
Staffs the Advisor Lounge when other RCPC members are not available.
Coordinates the Advisor Lounge Mini-Sessions, including recruiting facilitators, selecting topics, scheduling session, and advertising sessions
Coordinates the First-Time Advisor Breakfast, including placing food order, picking up food, advertising and developing activities/program.
Designs and distributes brochure highlighting professional development opportunities at the conferences
Maintains the Advisor Lounge, including working with the Education and Professional Development Coordinator to order food, coordinating resources for advisors available in the lounge (e.g., computers), and scheduling RCPC representation in the Lounge throughout the conference.
Submits at least one educational session proposal.
Serves on the Educational Session Review Team, if able.
Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of, and ensures adherence to, NACA® policies and procedures, as well as other applicable laws and regulations.
Attends all regularly scheduled regional meetings, when possible.


The Advisor Networks Coordinator should be a professional staff member at an NACA® South member institution.
The Advisor Networks Coordinator must have approval from and support of their institution prior to applying.
