Assists the Institute Series Coordinator with providing oversight of the six NACA Institutes.
Works in collaboration with the Institute Series Coordinator on the following: Assists with recruiting potential institute staff. Selects institute coordinators and staff for approval by the Institute Series Coordinator. Assists, facilitates and coordinators training of Institute Coordinators. Assists Institute Coordinators with training for their individual Institute Staff. Addresses issues and concerns with Institute Coordinators as needed. Assists in determining the future direction of each institute, including programmatic changes and marketing efforts. Works in collaboration with the Institute Series Coordinator and the NACA Education Advisory Group to update the curriculum for each institute. Participates regularly in training and planning Institute calls as scheduled. *Institute staff members are expected to participate in educational sessions and meetings concerning the summer institutes if attending a regional conference and/or NACA® Live. Integrates NACA goals, initiatives, and relevant strategic plan objectives in all aspects of position responsibilities. Follows NACA Non-Discrimination, Diversity Advancement and Affirmative Action Principles to recommend others to fill available positions in the NACA leadership and takes the necessary steps to achieve a diverse Association both through the recruitment of volunteers and suggesting to the Board of Directors new or modified programs and services for the Association’s members.
Must have approval from and support of their institution prior to applying for the position. (Note: support is defined as financial as well as time out of the office, etc.) Must have previously served as an institute staff member, Institute Coordinator preferred. Must have a broad understanding of the mission of NACA Institute programs and a willingness to develop an understanding of the unique needs of each Institute. Must be available throughout the year to accomplish the duties above.

Two years – in the first year, the Institute Series Coordinator-Elect would assist and observe the current Institute Series Coordinator. In the second year, the Institute Series Coordinator-Elect becomes the Institute Series Coordinator. Term of service begins Sept 1 and ends August 31. *A volunteer may serve on an institute staff position for no more than 2 consecutive years. A volunteer can serve no more than 4 consecutive years on the same institute.
