NACA® Student Government East - Tentative Schedule

This schedule is subject to change as the Institute nears.

Advisers: The Adviser Experience is being redeveloped to better promote learning, networking, and integration. The Adviser Experience schedule will be available this summer.

Schedule Features

  • General Assembly. These are all-Institute sessions where everyone comes together for keynote speakers, ceremonies, and networking.
  • Small Groups. All delegates are assigned a  small group, which becomes their cohort for the Institute. These are one of the best times to network with delegates from other institutions. These are loosely structured times where a small group leader will adapt to the group’s interests for conversation, learning, and networking.
  • Education Sessions. These are presentations about specific topics of interest to student government leaders. They may be interactive, but the primary format involves a subject matter expert presenting information.
  • Roundtables. These are focused discussions on topics of interest to student government leaders. A facilitator will guide discussion with prompts, but participants will be the ones sharing information.
  • Application of Knowledge. These are opportunities for student delegates to take what they have learned and put it to use. Whether it is presenting about your organization’s structure, participating in a case study, or creating a fictional student government from the ground-up, these are hands-on immersive learning opportunities.
  • Evening Activities. The networking extends each evening to fun activities. In the past, these have included improv shows, obstacle courses and a zipline, and a school-spirit fashion show.
