The Associate Advisory Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitation of regularly scheduled meetings and phone calls of the Group; providing input to the Board of Directors regarding issues and concerns from the Associate Member perspective and for providing input on policy issues to the NACA Office.
• Develop agenda for the monthly conference calls of the Associate Advisory Group • Work with the Board liaison to the Associate Advisory Group on associate issues • Attend and facilitate monthly conference calls • Attend a minimum of three regional conferences and the National Convention each year of appointed term • Facilitate any scheduled Associate Advisory Group meetings • Identify volunteers within the Associate Advisory Group that may need extra support, help or coaching • Serve as a resource for Board Members and Office staff when needed • Help the Associate volunteers to Regional Conference Planning Committees at regional conferences with Associate Member Orientation • Attend and support the presentation of the “How Associates Can Get the Most Out of NACA” Ed Session at regional conferences • Attend Block Booking Meetings • Ensure Associate Member Liaison election is implemented in accordance with written policy • Facilitate Associate Town Hall at regional conferences and National Convention • Post Town Hall Agenda • Serve as a resource for members and leadership at all conferences and Convention • At National Convention either facilitate or assist in facilitation of: o Associate Member Orientation o “How Associates Can Get the Most Out of NACA” Ed Session • Periodic check ins with Board liaison and co-facilitator as needed, potentially participating in monthly calls to go over concerns and progress made as we prepare for monthly call with entire Advisory Group • Meet with the Board at the National Convention • Work with Board Liaison to identify potential new facilitators for the Advisory Group • Other duties as they are assigned or warranted
Facilitators must have worked with a National Associate company/firm or have been a self-represented National Associate Member for at least two years prior to their appointment
Term of Service
• Two Years with terms staggering so that one position is appointed every year • Appointment shall be May 1-April 30 • Any vacancy by a facilitator occurring in the Associate Advisory Group will be filled by appointment by the Chair of the Board. The appointment will serve for the remainder of the position’s term.
