Geena Rocero

Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Rocero is a model, public speaker and producer. On March 31, 2014, in honor of International Transgender Day of Visibility, Rocero came out as transgender during a TED talk in New York City, and her viral talk has since been viewed more than 4,000,000 times and translated in 32 languages. She is the founder of Gender Proud, a media production company that tells stories on what it means to be trans and gender non-conforming.

Rocero has spoken at the White House, World Economic Forum and United Nations, has been featured on TV and magazine covers and in advertising campaigns for Marriott and CoverGirl Cosmetics. She is also a board member of the NY LGBT Center and an ambassador for The Stonewall Inn.
