Roy Wood Jr. is a correspondent on “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” and was recently named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” for 2016. Wood's comedy crosses cultural lines and has entertained millions nationwide on stage, radio and television. Wood was described by Rolling Stone as a “breakout” on The Daily Show. He was previously a regular on the TBS hit comedy “Sullivan & Son” and finished third on NBC's “Last Comic Standing.”

Wood, a native of Birmingham, AL, began his comedy career in 1999 at age 19 while attending Florida A&M University. In October 2006, Wood made his network television debut on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” In 2008, he appeared on HBO’s historic “Def Comedy Jam.” Wood has also made appearances on CBS’ “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and TBS’ “Conan.” He’s been asked to perform for the troops on USO tours to Guam and the Philippines. He is also known for his prank calls, which he's done for over a decade on various radio morning shows, including the nationally syndicated “Bob and Tom Show.” In addition, he has been a regular contributor to ESPN’s “Sports Nation.” He recently released his first full-length comedy CD, “Things I Think, I Think.”
