Scholarship Listings

The NACA Foundation offers numerous scholarships that are available to graduate students, undergraduate student leaders and associate members on an annual basis. Scholarship nominations are solicited each year. However, awards will only be made when the specific scholarship fund is above the designated minimum established. Questions may be directed to Morgan Grant at the NACA Office.

 Please read the following instructions and the respective applications carefully:

  • Only ELECTRONIC applications and supporting documents submitted through the online scholarship application will be accepted.
  • We will not accept any materials via mail, email or fax. Any materials received through these methods will be disregarded.
  • Online applications will NOT be accepted if all of the supporting documents are not attached.
  • Transcripts and letters of support do NOT need to be officially sealed.
  • Only the first 75 applications for each scholarship will be considered.
  • Note: High school students (including graduating seniors) and international students who are not US Citizens are NOT eligible for these scholarships.
  • Many of these scholarships are region specific. If you are unsure of which region you are in, consult the NACA Regional Map.

Northern Plains Regional Student Leadership Scholarship (Deadline: Jan. 15)
The Northern Plains Regional Student Leadership Scholarship is designed to assist students pursuing graduate or undergraduate study leading toward a career in student activities or a related student services field. Scholarships are credited directly to the institution in which the student is enrolled to cover tuition, fees and related educational expenses, upon certification of enrollment by the institution’s registrar. 

NACA Mid Atlantic Undergraduate Scholarship for Student Leaders (Open Feb 15 - March 31)
The NACA Mid Atlantic Undergraduate Scholarship for Student Leaders, establised in 1995, was created through an endowment by the former NACA East Coast Region to the NACA Foundation. The scholarship is intended to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees, books, etc. 

NACA South Student Leadership Scholarship (Deadline: March 31)
The NACA South Student Leadership Scholarship, endowed by the former NACA Southeast Region, was established in 1994 to recognize the achievements of undergraduate student leaders enrolled at colleges and universities in the former NACA Southeast Region. The fund provides up to four scholarships annually. Awards are intended to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books.

Multicultural Scholarship Program (Deadline: May 1)
The Multicultural Scholarship Program is part of the NACA Foundation’s affirmative action effort to increase the participation of ethnic minority individuals in the field of campus activities. The program is designed to provide economic assistance to qualified under-represented programmers, allowing them to attend NACA-sponsored training workshops, regional conferences and National Conventions. 

NACA Regional Council Student Leader Scholarship (Deadline: Applications accepted between March 1 and May 1)
The Regional Council Scholarship fund was established in 1996 in order to provide scholarships to recipients from within each of NACA’s regions. The fund, administered by the NACA Foundation, is maintained by an annual contribution from each of the regions. The scholarships, which annually vary in amount, are to be used for educational expenses including tuition, books, fees or other related expenses.

NACA Mid Atlantic Graduate Student Scholarship (Deadline: May 30)
The NACA Mid Atlantic Graduate Student Scholarship, established in 1995, was created through an endowment by the former NACA East Coast Region to the NACA Foundation. The fund provides for up to two scholarships annually, which are intended to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees, books, etc.

NACA Foundation Graduate Scholarships (Deadline: May 30)
One means by which the NACA Foundation demonstrates its commitment to the development of professionals in the field of campus activities is through providing scholarships to individuals pursuing graduate work in preparation for, or to enhance, a career in campus activities. 

NACA Mid Atlantic Higher Education Research Scholarship (Deadline: June 15)
The NACA Mid Atlantic Higher Education Research Scholarship was established in 1995. The scholarship provides funds for research projects designed to add to the college student personnel knowledge base, particularly those projects which focus on campus activities, address issues challenging student affairs practitioners and/or issues challenging higher education as they relate to campus activities.

Lori Rhett Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: June 30)
The Lori Rhett Memorial Scholarship was endowed in 1996 to recognize the achievements of undergraduate or graduate student leaders enrolled in colleges and universities located in the former NACA Pacific Northwest Region. Scholarships are to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books.

Barry Drake Professional Development Scholarship (Deadline: Aug. 1)
The Barry Drake Professional Development Scholarship, endowed by the former NACA Southeast Region, was established in 1995 to provide financial assistance to NACA national associate members for professional development activities. Such activities may include, but are not limited to, attendance at conferences, National Conventions, workshops, seminars or payment of costs related to the pursuit of a certificate or degree. 

NACA Mid Atlantic Associate Member Professional Development Scholarship (Deadline: Aug. 1)
The NACA Mid Atlantic Associate Member Professional Development Scholarship, endowed by the former NACA East Coast Region, was established in 1995 to provide financial assistance to NACA national associate members for professional development activities. Such activities may include, but are not limited to, attendance at conferences, National Conventions, workshops, seminars, or payment of costs related to the pursuit of a certificate or degree.

Markley Scholarship (Deadline: Sept. 1)
The former NACA South Central Region established the Markley Scholarship in 1983. The scholarship is named for Larry Markley, the acknowledged founder of the former NACA South Central Region. The scholarship is to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books.

Ross Fahey Scholarships (Deadline: Oct. 1)
The Ross-Fahey Scholarships were established by the former NACA New England Region to provide financial assistance to graduate student leaders enrolled in, and new professionals employed at, colleges and universities in the former NACA New England Region. The scholarships are to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books or for professional development purposes, such as conference fees.  

Scholarships for Student Leaders (Deadline: Nov. 1)
The Scholarships for Student Leaders Program, established in 1985, was created through donations to the 25 For 25 Drive, a silver anniversary fund-raising project of the NACA Foundation. Scholarships are to be used for educational expenses, including tuition, books, fees or other related expenses.  

Zagunis Student Leader Scholarship (Deadline: Nov. 1)
John Zagunis, a good friend to NACA, died of cancer on Dec. 3, 2005. John was the Regional Coordinator for the former NACA Great Lakes Region from 1993-1997. He received the NACA Great Lakes New Professional Award in 1990. The Zagunis Student Leader Scholarship was established in 1999 to honor John for his many contributions to NACA and to the field of campus activities.

The Zagunis Student Leader Scholarship was established by the former NACA Great Lakes Region to provide financial assistance to undergraduate or graduate student leaders enrolled in colleges and universities located in the former NACA Great Lakes region. Current undergraduate or graduate students attending a school in the former NACA Great Lakes region are eligible to apply. The scholarship is to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books.

Tese Caldarelli Memorial Scholarship (Deadline: Nov. 1)
The Tese Caldarelli Memorial Scholarship was established by the former NACA Great Lakes Region to provide financial assistance to undergraduate or graduate student leaders enrolled in colleges and universities in the former NACA Great Lakes Region. The scholarship is to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books or for professional development purposes, such as conference fees.
