2010 Research Grant Recipients The National Association for Campus Activities is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2010 NACA Research Grant. This grant is designed to encourage research that focuses on issues related to campus activities. The NACA Education Advisory Group selected the recipients out of the 7 proposals submitted for the grant. The recipient of the Comprehensive Award will receive a stipend of $2500 and travel to NACA National Convention, while those receiving the Secondary Awards will receive a stipend of $500
Comprehensive Award Recipient:
- University of South Florida – The influence of time spent by students on co-curricular involvement and online social networking on their academic achievement
Secondary Award Recipients:
- Fort Lewis College (CO) – The impact of late night programming on alcohol-related behavior
- University of Maryland – The Contribution of Alternative Break Programs to Students’ Future Intentions
- Stephen F. Austin State University (TX) - A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of periodic and meta-cognitive reflection for fostering learning outcomes in presidents of campus programming boards
